Flea Market Fleas from A to Z

Written by Thelma Kerns
Illustrated by Bryant Owens

When Sam, a curious youngster, begs his grandmother to take him to the local flea market to see the fleas, she readily agrees and off they go. Looking in booth after booth, they see a great variety of items—everything from A (apples) to Z (zebra)—but no flea market fleas. When Gram suggests it’s time to go home, Sam is not quite ready to give up the search. He approaches Mr. Marketman and asks if he can see the fleas. Sam’s search ends happily when he is directed to a “dog’s bed out back.” Children will enjoy this amusing story in rhyme with charming full-color illustrations on every page. Learning is fun, and it’s as easy as A-B-C!
